It’s been five months till now since the lock down began , I wish to share my journey of self discovery on how I revived myself from an over reactive mind to a state of calmness within me. It was indeed months back and almost an year, I was in an ill state of mind with insecurities and with taunting doubts on future beliefs. With arising issues on my personal challenges, I stayed in a state of double mindedness which resisted me to hone my abilities and groom myself as a person to the fullest. With days passing by, I strived to aid myself against this dramatic noise of monkey mind. I initially began attending workshops on life and personality development. To look into people with positivity ,provided me the first step towards heal. To strike a conversation with them made me energized to the second level. The third was to cultivate habits that makes us stay tuned with positive vision of life. So, the third step is quite challenging for all but here’s how I practiced it.
My beliefs on life challenges were like, let it come , it’s going to make me stronger anyways. I often voiced out within me in an exhaustion. I never perceived I was one thought different from how entirely I am about to experience my life. My habitual practices everyday began with meditation, breathing exercises and exercises for physical fitness too. I started practicing these from the month of JAN 2020. My beliefs persisted a little hopeless in the initial stages of mediation since I wasn’t able to distinctly see the changes. Then as I consistently practiced it, I was going through emotional transformation, were I get frustrated often and had guilt consciousness. The emotional outburst along with the mind’s chatter were moments of intolerance. As I was able to overcome this state, I gradually sensed vibrations that sounded positive and clear. I was able to see goodness in whatever I was lacking in previously. Spending time with nature was also a best means by which I tried practicing mindfulness. It was indeed, a good sensation to be grateful. I was able to cling on it without a second thought and since then I got to have a new me born once again. This time it was not the one whom I wondered I am, but to who I am really. This lock down was an efficient time that I utilized just for relaxation to bring myself back.
Changes occurred out of meditation:
- Declutters old emotions and thought patterns
- Emerging positive thoughts
- Positive vibrations with a constant flow in the body.
- An urge to practice gratitude developed
- Ability in trying to stay calm during the time of adversity.
- Increase in self esteem and will power.
Its indeed a great feeling to be in the meditative state of no- mindness. My journey still progresses with growing energy levels. As far as spiritual practices are concerned , we discover deeper dimension of peacefulness and it is absolutely infinite. In the current scenario of covid 19, It is quite challenging for us to stay positive over arising anxiety but it isn’t impossible. We can cross this too. Do meditate to saturate your stress levels, it really does help a lot. Stay positive , stay safe.
