On the streets of Dakar…

Ever wondered to travel and explore diverse troupes and their culture? Every land has an engaging narrative of their lifestyle and values. Each of these have their own significance and identity that are fascinating in their spheres. So is my encounter with the land of both torrid and plant life in an equal composure. Guys, do trip with me to take a look at my new residence, Dakar, Senegal!

As I grounded on this spot for the very first time, I was drawn to the feel good vibes of the nurseries. The high relief Renaissance statue that seems to be more rejoiced site for the native folks, breathes lot of life thorough it’s depthful carvings. The Dakar beach, gives an inviting welcome through its breezy and sightful view. For the visitors to this place, the all time yum yum Bissap juice ( hibiscus juice) is a must try! Further on what inspired me  the most was the shimmering attires of the native populace. Why not?  Let’s seek more into it!

Flavours of Africa:

Exuding an unique blend of both tradition and modernity, Senegal spreads an infectious fashion energy! Pops of bold colours and patterns define their identity. What stole my vision were the varied styles of head turbans called bonet and foular that are adorably draped well over the woman’s head. Women also braid their hair in a peculiar way that’s simply awesome! Amazed to know about these? There are still more to explore 😃 come on!

Senegal has an another dimension of its exquisite embroidery. Kaftans are generic and play an integral role in the Senegalese attire. Boubou, a long tunic is also one among their traditional outfits. Beyond everything, what makes these fit outs turn heads are, they are accompanied with beaded and bright handcrafted jewelry pieces and add ons like intricately handcrafted bags. Senegal’s flip flops are as cool and simple to beat the heat of the humid land. Does it interest you?
Then, Why to bide your time? Get your backpacks on and dive into this wondrous realm.
