Once I begin to narrate about my new derivation,I wish to share my notion to bring out this concept.The portrait that I have rendered voices out my personality in dynamic ways. Im quite a pioused person yet a modern woman. I study in National Institute Of Fashion technology , Bangalore. My perspective in viewing fashion and spirituality are two different extremities. To define fashion, it is eternal in its specific world. Whereas spirituality is eternal with its pure beats of divine qualities. A recurrent reflection of these varied domains made me to spark an idea on fusing them together. The blend of fashion and spirituality provides a new aroma for a contemporary delight. So, to peep into my painting and article, here you get to have what dwells within. I derived a concept of androgyny in fashion that prevails both in societal and spiritual aspects. That’how I portray three different views of this picture.
Fashion views:
The painting here, echoes the existence of androgyny in the fashion industry. The raise in fashion innovations have forecast the sustenance of androgyny in the future. Androgyny in other terms is called as fluid fashion. It manifests both the qualities of masculinity and femininity. The portrait drawn, conveys half woman and half men. The clothing worn by both are not restricted on a gender bias. As both contribute to form a wholesome, they wear draperies of one another. The woman wears a white round neck top with a half sleeve. The top is illusioned with vintage floral prints and she also wears a flow of draped blue palazzo. She holds a handbag and utensils on either hands. On the other side, the man wears a full arm black shirt and a torn out pale blue shorts. In fashion sense, the idea of wearing torn out jeans and shorts falls under the category of trickle up theory. He wears shoes, holds an office bag and a cellphone narrating a workaholic scenario. The strokes of blue, yellow and tints of red shows a spiritual essence to the theme.
Societal views:
Androgyny prevails on a societal basis too. it hones a value on how women have grown up to a large extent in the society. Pre-occupied demands on earning a better life has made the millennial become a machinery. The four hands that are portrayed with the valuables are equal to both male and female in the society. Toils of everyday are equally managed by both. The reverence for a women is defined on the basis of exertion in her role as a vital character. To perceive her survival takes a huge comprehension on her giveaways. Men do aid them but it even more adds merit when they are empathetic in lot other ways. I also personally felt that the presence of androgyny fashion reveres the trans gender communities to a great extent.
Spiritual terms:
Androgyny in spirituality sustains in the means of androgynous spiritual character “Arthanareeswarar”. A combination of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi structuring a wholesome body. I symbolize men and women as two divine characters. Shiva(purusha) and parvathi (shakthi) are inseparable from one another. They both contribute to the universal energy flow. The unity of Parvathi and Shiva together also relates the fact of Shiva’s all pervasive nature. So here, I represent that men and women both are in dependable within one another and a sense of apprehension can make them united and blissful for a righteous living.
