As the quote from Bhagavad ita pens down an indulging concept of mastering the mind, it evokes varied meanings of what trueness is. The zest of life originates from the inner self. The true self lies within the soul. Soul as we verbalize, is the residence of selflessness. what does this mean and how do we aquire this selflessness?. Selflessness is the inherent quality within every mankind. A void of optimism that showers down with ultimate compassion, empathy and purity. The process of acquiring the state of trueness is what we call mindfulness.
Mindfulness relies on mastering our mind and not allowing mind to master us. It involves ways to reduce the voice of our monkey mind. Being aware of our breathe, our body and our surroundings is what mindfulness inculcates. Breathe is a vital element that holds our life. Observing the breathe is a practice of being aware of our self and the surroundings. It eventually reduces the resonance of mind and elevates peace within. Peace is where the humanness is and this humanity is the beginning of core divinity. Mindfulness is one among a spiritual practice called ‘Sadhana’. On the other way round, mindfulness is a state of meditation. The mind gets washed away by evil thoughts. It creates space for the abode of divine in place of devil. The effects of mindfulness are remarkable. Mindfulness in today’s world is necessary to reduce stress and anxiety. It aids us to stay calm in a workaholic environment. An empty mind is also considered to be an origin for creativity.

The above painting is a rendition of mine depicting the state of mind in a stressful condition. The red & blue strips are the nerves under strain. The colour choices used were according to the energy level of the mind and the central force is at one point which is the white source. It’s a state of purity that lies deep within. Mindfulness elevates the energy level within the body. Practicing on regular terms prevents health issues and agening.
Thus mindfulness being secret spiritual practice these years has been brought back to the vision and has become an inevitable part of our life.
